Evite Trends Reveal December 15th as the Most Partied Day of 2008!
LOS ANGELES, December 4, 2007 -- Are you double-booked with holiday parties on December 15th? If so, you’re not alone. December 15th is tracking as the biggest party day of this holiday season in the US, according to data from Evite (www.evite.com),the leading social event planning service on the Web.
Kicking off the season with December 1st parties up 28% over last year, Evite is on track to spread holiday cheer to over 30 million party goers attending close to 900,000 holiday parties this December. Evite events on December 15th alone are projected to well exceed 100,000. This “Super Saturday” of holiday reveling will make December 15th Evite’s number one party day of the year – projected to be even bigger than New Year’s Eve, Halloween and Superbowl.
The middle Saturday of the month is the most sought-after holiday party date throughout the country according to Evite data. Based on Evite parties already planned for December 15th, the top celebrating city on the big day will likely be the Big Apple, with Evite users in the New York metro area having already planned over 8,000 holiday parties for more than 275,000 guests for this day alone. Evite’s remaining top five “Super Saturday” party cities include:
- Los Angeles — 7,500+ parties → 280,000+ guests>
- San Francisco — 7,000+ parties → 250,000+ guests
- Washington DC — 5,500+ parties →200,000+ guests
- Chicago — 4,400+ parties → 160,000+ guests
